Our Online Community is here for you to have fun and make new friends. We don't like to censor ideas and speech but it is necessary to maintain a organized and friendly atmosphere for all. The following rules are pretty common among message boards and is pretty much just common sense when dealing with others!

1. New Members: All new members are moderated on their first 3 post. This is due to the insane amount of spam we get a day. Once you post 3 times with no problems your account will be approved and you can post freely with no moderation. You are REQUIRED to post an introduction HERE within 30 days of joining our forum. This board is for participating members only. We understand the need to lurk to see if you might want to become a member which is why the 30 day window. Once you introduce yourself you MUST maintain an active member. If your account is inactive for 6 months your account will be deleted.

2. No Spamming & Advertising: We want encourage our members to share there personal websites, blogs and podcast. Feel free to link to these in your signature, HOWEVER, if all you do is come here to spam and advertise your links and do not participate in the boards, your account will be considered spam and be deleted. If you place a link to your website on your signature we ask you place a link below on your site. We feel this is a fair exchange, and helps promote both our site and yours.

Also DO NOT contact our members through email, private message or the like to advertise your site or business. This is SPAMMING and will result in a lifetime ban.

3. Be Courteous: We are all adults and as a member we expect you to treat others with respect in all of their views. If you agree or disagree do it properly, no FLAMING or BASHING will be allowed. That is an absolute waste of time and you will be banned after the FIRST offense, no second chances. Also, PLEASE DON'T POST IN ALL CAPS LIKE THIS, IT'S HARD TO READ AND IS CONSIDERED YELLING ON THE INTERNET. This falls under being courteous. In other words use common sense in these situations.

4. Profanity or Vulgar Language: We don't want to censor our members from expressing their views and opinions, but please do so in a proper manner. We don't mind some "bad language" that you would hear in the books or the show. What you CAN NOT say are words that are hateful, bigoted, homophobic, racist or sexist. Doing so will result in an immediate lifetime ban. We embrace all religious views and lifestyles and we expect you to as well, at least while you are here. Again common sense is a plus here!

5. Board Organization: Please do not post duplicate messages in numerous forums or post about a topic that is already active. For example if you see a thread called, "what did you think about episode 13?". Don't create the same thread. Just join in the existing one. All duplicate threads will be deleted with out notice to the author. We understand that maybe people won't see the existing threads so we ENCOURAGE you to use the search feature. We reserve the right to ban members who repeatedly post duplicate threads. If you do this 2-3 times, no we won't ban you, but if you keep on for weeks and weeks, yes we will. We don't like to clean up messes either.

6. Posting In Proper Forums: We have several Forums setup for your benefit. Please be aware of forum titles and post your threads in the proper forums. If you post a thread under the wrong forum we reserve the right to move your post to the proper forum without notice to the author.

7. Slander/Libel/Defamation: DO NOT us names in a derogatory fashion about any persons or companies/businesses on this board. Doing so CAN land you and us in a lawsuit for defamation of character. Just because it's the internet doesn't mean it doesn't count! All post that demean any person or company will be deleted and you will be banned. We don't have time to be sued because of something your do or say on this board, so DON'T DO IT! If someone ask you a question about said person or company then reply in personal email, not a post or private message. Keep ALL conversations pertaining to these kinds of negative topics OFF the board and in personal email.

8. Copyrighted Material: Information copyrighted or owned by any individual or entity other than the member should not be posted on the forums. FangBangers.com & Fangtasia Forums will not be held liable for any information posted on our community which violates copyright laws. If you believe someone has violated your copyright, we ask that you contact that person directly or seek legal counsel. Discussion of accusations of copyright infringement are NOT permitted on Fangtasia Forum, so keep it to personal email.

9. Signature/Siggys: Please follow the rules below about your signature.
  • No more than three links and/or banners in your signature.
  • No more than four lines of text, links and or banners in your signature. Meaning you can have your name on one line and then no more than 3 links and or banners below it.
  • All banners must be 500 pixels wide or less and under 50k.
  • Rotating banners are allowed as long as they follow the above size rules.
  • NO pornographic images in your banners are allowed. Meaning no sex scenes please.
10. Photo Attachments: Attachments uploaded to a post can only be in the following extensions: .gif, .jpg, .jpeg, and .pdf. File size must be no more than 500 pixels wide or 800 pixels high with a 72 dpi.

11. Correcting Members: If you see a member doing something that does not follow the rules or makes you uncomfortable, contact a moderator via the "report this post" link. You do not need correct the member yourself. Let one of the moderators handle it.

12. Deleted Posts: Any posts that violate these rules will be deleted without notice at our discretion. So if you see a post disappear, just know there was a good reason. If a post of yours gets removed from the board, do not question it publicly on the board! If you have questions about it, or believe it to be an error, you can contact one of the board moderators privately.

13. Spamming, Socking, Trolling & Flaming: "Spam" is any kind of unsolicited posting or private messaging about a topic your trying to promote. For example, if you sell sunglasses and were to post several messages promoting your merchandise, or were to private message members about buying, this would be considered spam. Keyword here is unsolicited! Spamming is prohibited. A "troll" is is someone who antagonizes other members purposely to get a negative reaction. Trolling behavior is not permitted. A "sock" (derived from the idea of a "sock puppet") is an individual who posts to the forums using two or more different screen name accounts. Sock behavior is not permitted. "Flaming" is a personal attack on another member of the message boards. Lively discussion of ideas is important, discussion of each other as people is not. Insults, harassing and other forms of flaming are not permitted. In all instances the user who insists on behaving this way will be banned from using the boards, NO second chances and no exceptions.
